The New York Mets bolstered their bullpen at the 2011 Winter Meetings with the additions of hard-throwing relievers Frank Francisco, Jon Rauch and Ramon Ramirez. Now the bullpen should be able to protect leads, if the starting rotation can give them any next season, that is.
Mets To Wear NY Cubans Jersey Tonight
The Mets will wear the NY Cubans jersey tonight as part of the Negro League Night in Milwaukee. They have worn it before, back in 2002 and a few times since.
Tonight’s matchup pits Fernando Nieve (1-2, 5.09 ERA) against Manny Parra (1-3, 3.54 ERA). Game time is at 7:10 EDT.
