MLB roundup: Rodriguez suspended through 2014 (The SportsXchange)

Major League Baseball commissioner Bud Selig announced Monday that New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez has been suspended without pay for the remainder of the 2013 season — including the playoffs — and the entire 2014 season for violations of the Joint Drug and Prevention and Treatment Program, as well as the Basic Agreement, for his role in the Biogenesis scandal. In all, the suspension spans 211 games.
